Raavan Movie First Day First Show

Raavan
Got into d first show… shocked 2 c only 3 ppl in d beginning, but d number rose 2 30 by d end!
Movie was quite slow but managed to never let d interest go…. D story becomes predictible at times. Luckily Mr. Mani hasnt quite fidgeted wid d script & is based on “Ramayan” but the end disappointed me. Great direction, action sequences r raw, rugged and breath-taking & d locations r exotic! Couple of songs r good, others juz ok.
Abhi gives a thumbs-up performance, others r decent enough.
3/5

Huge disappointment.. :( Yawn…
I had expectations from this one and man…I am badly disappointed….
Abhishek hams… and the fault is not only his but also of the script and the director… He’s supposed to a ruthless villain and not a psychopath.
Vikram and Aishwarya are better of the lot… Govinda is wasted…. Ravi kisan and Priyamani are best of the lot.
Too many songs in the narrative…. sluggish pace…predictable… boring..full of yawns..
For me certainly the worst work of Maniratnam…
Saving grace? It got over in little more than 2 hours….

Rating - 1.5/5.

VEDAM Telugu movie

VEDAM Telugu movie

Its a Telugu movie with an ensemble cast ….. first of sorts .. it has Allu Arjun , Manchu Manoj , Anushka ,Lekha washington ,Manoj Bajpai and Saranya in pivoted roles .

I call it a first of sorts coz this is the 1st time that some1 has told 4 completely different stories and has linked them all at the end . Not been tried before in telugu . It is refreshing to see Allu Arjun shed the Masala hero image that he has in all his previous movies .

There is nothing over the top exceptional about the stories but the overall treatment of the movie is fantastic . The whole movie is shown very close to reality except the last 10 mins .

P.S. : Will let you know if it comes out with sub titles …

Karate Kid Action Movie

Karate Kid Action Movie

Jaden Smith is good …like father like son…

Preetyy good..
Liked this one a lot…

Jade Smith is superb… and looks, acts, reacts, smiles, pauses, expressions.. everything exactly like his DAD… very charming….. he is a total Rockstar…

and Jackie Chan… being a fan for 20 years now… and he just keeps getting better and better…

i like the fact that the movie stays away and maintains distance from being an Intense Revenge Drama.. where Pride is at stake etc… instead it keeps it simple.. it talks about human fears… and how to deal with it, by facing it.. no matter u win or lose…

I personally liked it more than the original…

Though I must say the chinky kid (Cheng) playing the negative role was awesome.
He was intense and had attiude. I wouldn’t like the movie as much without him.

I am not a huge Jackie Chan fan..but he has done well in this one.

3.6/5 :D

Karate Kid — Recommended!
Indeed good…
So simple… so predictable yet so good…

JC is back after a while and he is brilliant as always… Though hate to see him looking old..

Jaden smith has everything to surpass his illustrious father…. Superb but I’d still say watch it for Jackie Chan….

Slightly long duration but then there is attention to detail and supers building of characters and also China…

Flaws - I am not sure if the romantic track of the kids was needed to be like this..

Rajneeti In Bollywood

Rajneeti In Bollywood

In dis movie 3 performances easily stands out

1.Ranbir

2. NANA

3. Arjun rampal(surprise package…. after rock on a gr8 performance)

Two scenes according 2 me which were really impactful:

1. Ranbir gets slapped by inspector nd he says sorry

2. Scene were Arjun rampal gets killed.

In short its a movie of good performances, xcellent direction and some xtraordinary scenes…. worth a watch….

Rajneeti Box Office Report

Rajneeti Box Office Report

Ved Vyasa meets Mario Puzo….
No denying it intentionally or unintentionally borrows heavily from Mahabharata and God Father…(With a treatment like Sarkaar) but it does get most things write…
The script is well written and executed with equal precision…

Prakash Jha gets it almost right this time after not so great “Apharan”.

Its an ensemble of star cast but must say Ranbir has the author backed role and he does justice…. He is not flawless or complete but definitely competent. Nana patekar and Manoj stand out next… Rampal has a good role but doesn’t really match others…. Ajay acts well but guess he got a raw deal this time in a Prakash Jha movie…. Katrina is as usual just up to the mark….

Flaws?? Not many….. but definitely 2nd half….. this becomes very predictable towards the end and doesn’t meet the standards of griping 1st half….

Rajneeti Bollywood Movie Review

Rajneeti Bollywood Movie Review

Not politically correct..but worth a watch :-)
Hmm..where do I start?..Rajneeti was another hyped movie after Kites..but not that disappointing like the former one.Again this one flirts with India’s one of the most fav topics after Cricket & bollywood..Politics..
A political drama that was shot somewhere in Central India(perhaps Bhopal I guess) is largely influenced by the Epic ‘Mahabharata’ & the very famous crime novel ‘Godfather’.. The characters in this flick have references from the above 2…like Manoj Vajpayee(Duryodhana),Ajay Devgn(Karna), Ranbir Kapoor(Arjun or Michael Corleone),Nana Patekar(Lord Krishna or Attorney Tom Hagen), Arjun Rampal(Sonny Corleone)..well too many to pen down..even the sequences also are derived from the originals…..Anyways so the question comes to our mind…is there anything different in this one? Yes of course..its the film makers approach towards this concept of Indian Politics…there were several attempts earlier made like sarkar nama, sinhasan, saamna, vajeer(all in marathi),hindi dramas like satta,hu tu tu,sarkar, sarkar raaj etc..this one adds to the list also..since the story is somehow predictable then the movie relies totally on the performances…
Manoj Vajpayee delivers a knock out performance..reminding that Bhiku Mhatre of Satya was not a fluke..actor plays a strong role of hot headed budding politician..Nana patekar is efficient..so is the Ajay Devgn…is there any actor of such intensity..Ranbir Kapoor shows a lot promise in his performance…The Kapoor stallion has a long way to go..anywayz good to try something different..Katrina in her de-glam avatar is a revelation..should have worked on her diction as well to bring some impact to her role & the speech towards the end..rest of cast including Arjun Rampal are adequate..
I remember Nana’s dialogue in the movie to Ajay Devgn: ‘Rajneeti mein faisle sahi ya galat nahin hote. Unka mol hai sirf maksad pane ka’. This probably explains this political drama very well..
Ratings: 3.5/5…There should be more such attempts made by bollywood…

Rajneeti Hindi Movie Review

Rajneeti Hindi Movie Review

It could have been Better!!!
Good Concept and starts well but somewhere down loses steam…and by end u will feel it didn’t meet the high expectation.

Also i felt some of the performance of some of characters were not up to the mark..
especially Katrina Kaif and Arjun Rampal…Arjun Rampal tries hard but doesn’t look natural. He still looks like model or rock star..Manoj Vajpayee,Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar are seasoned actors and meet ur expectations..The actor who played the role of mother was total disappointed…

But Ranbir Kapoor i thought gives terrific performance..I think this kapoor will outperform the other kapoor’s in long run…

If u r serious movie’s buff there was movie made in early 80’s by Shyam Benegal by name Kalyug which was based on same concept..with a business background…I think it was very well made movie with brilliant performances by Shashi Kapoor,Victor Banerjee and Anant Nag…If u get hold of VCD or DVD please do watch it…

Coming back to Rajneeti i will go for rating of 2.5…and if u r Ranbir Kapoor fan may be 3:-)

Checked reviews online….. around a 4stars….. quite encouraging….

3/5
Its good in parts.

Performances are good. Someone else would be better for Katrina’s role.
Her character has always been in India…then why such hindi? Her speech does not create any impact.

Arjun has improved a lot. Ranbir seems promising.

I expected the movie to be better than this.

I don’t understand why bollywood movies always fail to deliver COMPLETE experience.
If one thing is good…everything else is neglected.
