neoclassical metal let’s say has grwn underground

neoclassical metal let’s say has grwn underground
1 reason for it not being so popular because other sounds were also emerging …. late 70’s saw metal… the pioneeres really …. but the early 90’s saw a new music movememt more populary known as the “SEATTLE GRUNGE MOVEMENT”…..THIS TOOK THE WORLD BY A STORM…. n e way despite the initial success of the neo-classical movemnt headed by the great ozzy osburne it had to take a back seat…..BUT THE BEST WAS BOUT COME….the “neo-classical movement” now took the shape OF “HEAVY METAL”GENRE WHICH INSPIRES THE YOUNGSTERS OF TODAY………..YOUNGSTARS LIKE ME, AND RONY AND A WHOLE LOT…..

Rafi method is always different

Rafi method is always different
I have been a listening to songs of rafi right from my young age. what i had observed that Rafi gets into the mood in which the songs are required to be sung. Whether it is masti or ghazal or a romantic or a romantic cum sad one. This i have not found in any of the playback singers. For example compare the song Ehasan tera hoga mujpar from Filim Junglee. It is sung by lata solo and also Rafi in solo. U will tell me the unique metod of rafi singin the song. Many more songs shall give the difference.

Rafi Vs Lata

Rafi Vs Lata
Well! I know most of the responses that would be there but I have grown to believe that Rafi carried more versatility than Lata. Infact Lata in one of her interviews did admit that she considered it her great honour to have sung alongside Rafi Saahab in numerous duets also disclosing the fact that as she considered him her greatest rival she would always come prepared before hand and would always hold back something special for Rafi Saahab to throw during the song and surprise him. I am a great fan of Rafi Saahab but not the kind of fans who would go to any extent to prove that the one like surpasses everyone; yet I still strongly do feel Rafi Sahab carried more variety than Lata Ji. A Prime example to prove the point would be the switch to swinging music during the 60’s which started with and was bred by Rafi Saahab with Shimmy playing the archetypal Rocker lover boy but in most of such songs Asha had to come along to sing with Rafi Saahab in a demanding period. Your say guys!

Shubho Mahurat And Utsab Hindi Movies

Shubho Mahurat And Utsab Hindi Movies
I am suprised no one has mentioned “Shubho Mahurat”.
The strengths of this movie lie in the fine points(as always) and the gripping mystery. There is no better mystery movie that I have ever seen.
Utsab would be a close second. Characters are so grey and thats why real. There is a genuiness about this movie which I honestly felt Raincoat and Chokher Bali lacked.

Shubho Mahurat and Utsab I feel are by far his best movies.

Dahan too was good but I had already seen some Hindi movies along the same lines so didn’t impact me so much.

Raincoat and Unishe April

I think its Raincoat and Unishe April .In both the movies he has selected two excellent short stories and have depicted them with a skill of master per excelloence. Both the movies and set in such a background where we do not feel that its a movie going on but day to day life we come accross. And yet the motive of the movies never got hampered and was presented more vigorously in utmost realistic pattern.

Best film

Best film
I would say that Rituparno’s best film (till ‘Dosar’, the last Rituparno film that I have seen) is ‘Baariwaali’. I know, many would squirm that the lead protagonist played by Kirron Kher looks and sounds a bit staid. But I think Ritu emphasises on the characters looking perfect to such an extent that the discomfort of the Punjabi actress hardly shows. It is just a small compromise on the director’s part as he had to cast the producer’s wife as the heroine (I am not taking away any credit on Kirron Kher’s part for having been a terrific actress otherwise). But other than the director’s penchant for dubbing, the film is a masterpiece. In every frame, every shot, every strain of conversation, one can find the true Rituparno stamp of passionate & intimate involvement with the characters and their vulnerability (or rather small vulnerable moments). I also cherish the very fact that Ritu focuses on the hypocrisy and hollowness that is inherent to the world of cinema or that of any creative pursuit or those who people such worlds; he does that with a rare degree of honesty that the discerning viewer cannot miss.
