Indian war movies have not really been up to the mark

Indian war movies have not really been up to the mark.

Even if Dutta’s Border brought the emotions and lifestyles of soldiers to the forefront, did any of the characters actually look like soldiers?

india-war-movies.jpg
Soldiers don’t sport long hair……..they are very toned and lean built due to daily rigorous routine etc.
Some basic but important facts that were overlooked in Border.

Prahaar was not a war movie
but they had done a lot of homework on soldier training and lifestyle.

Lakshya was also good, excellently directed by Farhan. It was more of an individual’s mental and physical growth as a soldier, but very convincing.

AAMIR V/S SRK V/S SALLU

AAMIR V/S SRK V/S SALLU
WELL, SALLU is nothing!

so who is the best in BOLLYWOOD AND why: AAMIR OR SRK?

BOTH have given blockbusters, classics, critically acclaimed performances! both are amongst the heighest paid actors in INDIA!

both have a huge fan following in INDIA AND ABROAD!

boths films appeal to the classes!

so who is best and why: AAMIR OR SRK?
ALSO TELL WHY?

Srk’s films are always good at the Box office reason being ppl like him a lot and so lots of ppl watch his movies and so they get hit status..

For me AAmir and Salman are better any day..Awards seriously dont count especially Indian Awards which are totally biased..Any Yash chopra,Sanjay Lella Bhansali,Karan johar movie will win awards every year even though better films were released that year…Salman is good in Action,Comedy as well as in romantic role but aamir and Srk are not good in action..

So Salman also is really good…In par with aamir

Bollywood - Brazilwood

Bollywood - Brazilwood
Hey guys, curious here…

Want to know if brazilians here have watched any hindi movies (which ones and what do you think of them)

I´d like to know the same from the indians about brazilian movies
I watch hindi movies frequently and I LOVE most of them…hindi movies are very dramatic and emotional…they always make me laugh or cry…

The last ones I watched were “Sarkar”, “Fanaa” and “DDLJ” - m favorite was DDLJ (sooo cute)

Hey guys……Indians are supposed to talk about their knowledge of BRAZILIAN movies  (tks tsk tsk - these crazy bollywood maniacs!

And I loved Sarkar too, is just not my favorite of all time, but Abhishek is cute in it
The film “tourist” about Rio de Janeiro is not good (but Rio de Janeiro is very violent).

I see few indians films and don’t remember and name of them. But I would like to see more indian films, but our tv companies only show american films :(

The City of Good is an great film. Carandiru, Central of Brazil and many others are very good. I believe that U will like very much.
The film “tourists” is not a brazilian movie Thank God…it´s from an american director who thinks he knows anything about other countries and then invents atrocities like that….a movie like that should have been banned! It just shows lies and terrible things about Brazil!

marketing and popular hindi cinema

marketing and popular cinema
well.. do u really think no hollywood movie gets rejected …. think again my friend… i m not saying all movies should be made for masses.. but if somebody makes and people likes it.. we need to develop an attitude for appreciating them..sometimes i really wonder why so called intellectual people like you never appreciate popular cinema. as far as the marketing is concerned, my dear friend marketing oppurtunities in india and U.S. are totally different. here u need to do a bit of economic theories.. when ur budget is 30 cr ( which includes marketing as well)..if i go by venkat’s 60% theory u will have just 12 cr to make a movie.. now think wat will be the quality.. i kno u must be thinking we shld increase the budget..but how u gonna do it? this very attitude of neglecting popular cinema and sticking only to art movie will not help the cause… simple economics says until and unless there is some incentive( profit) nobody will be willing to invest in this industry..(bollywood).. when u dont have money to make quality movie( technically sound …)and u are not getting it from outside..how u gonna make it better… we all know popular cinema yields profit..so this will be the area where investors will be interested in and once u get the infrastructure you will have freedom to experiment more and more… this would be the betterment for both popular and art movies…. i m giving you one example.. u must have heard of a mmovie called ” rok sako to rok lo”. this movie was made by a so called mamagementt guru… he tried his best but movie failed and it failed big time.. so even if u spend 80% on the marketing.. this will not help the cause….hope this time i am not contradicting myself …

Saawariya fever soaring in UK

Saawariya fever soaring in UK
The music CD’s of Saawariya hit the UK stores just last week on September 24 and look what’s happening? The music is creating quite a bit of buzz among the locals living in London. Chirag from Tip Top Entertainment in Wembley says, “This is a rare scenario and within a month, Saawariya has come as a blessing in disguise. We have started getting phone calls to book the CD’s in advance. Now just imagine; advance booking was only heard of in cinemas… Saawariya has changed that.”
