 I wud like to mention about the appropriate and timely use of background music in older movie songs which does not create a barrier between the singer and the listener like recent film songs which contain unneccessarily loud and untimely introduced background music. this in turn most often ruins the core essence of the song and makes it sound more artificial and studio-made.
but on the contrary, I believe that the modern music composers have no other way than to support the modern singers with background music considering their poor ability to perform without supporting music,. this was not required in those golden days bcoz most of the singers were trained classically to sing using only harmonium or tanpura and tabla.

i cannot imagine the popularity that the character got inspite of being the villian
infact he was the leading man in the film
at a time when all the bad guys were suposed to get beaten up and remain in the shadow of leading men, amjad khan not only held his own but managed to outshine the stalwarts like amitabh and dharamendra

he’s truly the most rememberable character acc. to me in bolywood
certainly not the best ….wat others will think …but the this is the oddest one i can remember……. dharam played by dharam paaji in Dharamveer..this costume drama..had dharam paaji in mini skirts( this is what i would call them)… really hilarious with jumping jack jitendra..a good movie wat so ever…
