The Third Univercell Vijay Awards started off with the Rasigan Express Van traveling across the state to collect the votes of the fans for the five categories -Favorite Hero, Favorite Heroine, Favorite Film, Favorite Director and Favorite Song. Vijay Awards 2009 Videos

Anyone of here saw vijay awards here?? today they were discussing about music.. and all jurys were praising harris (Yugee sethu, Madhan, and prathap) they also mentioned films with best music like Bheema, Dhaam Dhoom, VAARANAM AAYIRAM and Subramaniyapuram (They mentioned ONLY these 4 movies).

the fact which made them worried is A R did only one movie last year.. and its obvious that all of us want A R to do more movies.. hope he does it in coming years with VTV, Endhiran, Raavan, and rukmani..

THere were also talks about James Vasanthan and even Vijay Antonoy.. but none of the jurys talked about the ONE music director(who does more no of films a year.. paavam)

Meanwhile, the jury for the Univercell Vijay Awards will be introduced to the audience on May 10, 2009 at 2 p.m. on Vijay TV. The Jury Members are actor-director Prathap Pothan, popular writer-director-producer Yugi Sethu, film critic-cartoonist Madan and Lizzy Priyadarshan.
The jury will discuss on what parameters the films should be selected for the awards. They will also discuss about the 27 categories that are taken into consideration for this year’s award like best actor / actress, best debut actor male / female, best music director, best playback singer – male / female, best villain, etc. Vijay TV’s Neeya Naana fame Gopinath will host the show.
